Her smile faltered slightly when he said something about her being a rich widow but immediately recovered then kissed him. "You make me happy too. I think our marriage will be a good one. And since we are invited to Lady and Lord Talbot's dinner and ball tonight, I imagine I will be looked at like a whore but, it is only idle gossip. And I think this woman Madame Bavarre, will be there. Why not play the role up? We will be the scandal of the evening," she teased then looked down laughing softly as she finished her coffee, flipping through the morning paper before finishing her breakfast. "I am going to go check on the house and then get dressed for the day. Visit with your sister...then we can do what you wish. Unless you have business you have to tend to...I know you might..." she said then fixed her robe. As a servant came to clear the dishes, they shot Felicity a glare. It seemed she was still not well received after her trickery. It would be alright and well.
"You might have some investments you need to check on. Oh, I was also hoping to plan an event for your friends and their wives or fiancés. That friend Rochford of yours says he is all but engaged to that American. Miss Lawson. Of course your sister should come to."

She smiled at him then bit her lip and looked away as he drove the phaeton. Mary of course, to involved knitting Or sewing to care what the two of them were doing. Ginny quite liked that about her. Slowly, the young woman, wrapped her arms around his arm. "I do adore you James," she mused then looked at him and kissed his cheek.
Once they were at the park, he had led them to their secluded spot and she slipped off the phaeton, walking with him through the empty paths devoid of people.
"How long of an engagement are you wanting James?" she asked curiously as they walked arm and arm through the morning warmth toward a small pond surrounded by trees. She took off her shoes and stockings, lifting the hem of her dress to dip her feet in the water, enjoying the cool water running over her dainty feet. They were small feet that often accounted for her clumsiness.
------
Freddie beamed. "You know me so well..." he reached over as the morning post was delivered though it took much longer to reach him then those in London. He swiftly read over the title and chuckled. His friend had written of his marriage to Lady Tremaine. And he had to wonder how angry he was. There was also an article on a recent march which he had written as well as the usual women's articles and the politics as well as a couple of chapters from Oscar Wilde's new novel.
He folded it then handed it to her. "Today I think a day of leisure." he mused, licking his fingers free of the butter from the scone. "And perhaps my first public outing. There is a local theater production of A Winter's Tale playing. No one would care of propriety if you went with me. As, I own the theater. It will be a nice night out, and everyone knows you are my nurse, not my mistress. "How does that sound?" he asked her.
-----
Everett smarted at the slap and then looked at her. "I deserve to be her father and marrying you is the only way. Don't worry. You can have a separate wing in my damned house and sleep with who you want. Have unlimited access to my money. But I want her in my life," he said, rubbing his jaw.
"We have had made mistakes in our past...both of us. For godsake Ari...if I have a daughter. Let me rise her as mine. Let her have a father and a mother..." he looked at her. "I admit I should not have called you a whore...but damn it all...I find out I have a child and you want to keep her from me."
