It is said no two Phantom have the same ability which can manifest as absolutely anything. However a Phantom must pay a price for the power they have, this can also manifest as anything. From having to smoke to having to stab something. Also a Phantom is not like a normal human. They all have the ability to become untraceable (i.e. not leaving finger prints or foot prints behind on a scene.) So a Phantom crime scene is easily identifiable because there is never any evidence that a person was ever there. This is where they got their name as it is said they can become something ethereal and ghost like. Example, Phantom 1 has activated his ability to create and control fire and has used it. He must now pay his price of smoking a cigarette after he is finished using his power. OR Phantom 2 has activated her ability to cause earthquakes. She must now break a bone (be it her own or some elses) to pay the price of her power. Note: the price for a power will often be more difficult for a more powerful power but this is not always the case. *** Name: Yuuji, Saiku Age: 22 Gender: Male Physical Appearance: He has black, long hair. Saiku ran into the bathroom, his mind a blur as he hit the sink and clutched onto the grimy porcelain like it was the only thing connecting his life to this world. He barely made it before his stomach clenched tightly and he threw up his breakfast and lunch into the waiting basin. His hands were slightly slippery and stained the white with bright red blood. The sticky feel and smell only caused him to wretch more into the sink and the dizzying silence of the room buzzed loudly in his ears as he clenched his eyes tight and tried to keep out the horrors he had just committed for a few moments. Gasping for breath after the fit of agonizing disgust and regret Saiku slowly opened his eyes and turned on the water. Vomit was not half as disgusting as the things he had just witnessed so he steeled himself and cleaned out the mess he had made so he could wash off his hands and spit the remainder of his lost meals up into the sink as well. Saiku glanced up and caught his ghoulish appearance in the mirror. His own split coloured eyes; one black and one red stared mockingly back at him and with an angry growl he slammed his fist into the offensive image of his own face, ignoring the agony as little shards embedded themselves into his knuckles and fingers. He deserved some sort of punishment for what he had done. Hands shaking now from pain and stress Saiku finished washing his hand and then did his best to wrap his bleeding appendage in a nearby dirty towel with a sigh. This was supposed to get easier. Even as a Phantom he feared he may never get accustomed to killing people. With his emotions settled and his stomach empty the black haired Phantom moved back into the living room to survey the damage and licked his cracked lips to acknowledge a job well done. The corpses of two adults, one a women and one a man were pinned to the couch with metal spikes through their abdominal area, their faces still stretched in masks of screaming agony as they had struggled against the inevitable. Despite having committed the crime, Saiku did not go near the bedroom where their daughter was. She had been much younger then he had expected and he had struggled to end her life with what few remaining morals he clung desperately to. His stomach clenched again, threatening to heave up what little digestive acid remained within his body but the Phantom kept it down. He ran his fingers through his greasy black hair and then left through the front door, the same way he had entered. * * * "My lord! The things in the news have been horrible since those Phantom's appeared, eh?" Kassidy the waitress drawled at her strange customer as she caught sight of the front page of his newspaper. A family of three had been found brutally murdered in their apartment and no evidence had been found to lead them to the killer, which was the mark of a Phantom. About 10 years ago a phenomena had caused individuals to change. They looked the same as any other human, but each possessed a unique ability and it was said that no two were the same. Phantom's all possessed unnatural stealth and seemed to leave no trace of their existence or proof of their presence behind after they visited a home. It was rumored that each had a price to pay for using their powers, one thing which they had to carry out each time they activated whatever power it was that possessed them. The public was terrified of them but they had found their own little nitch in a society filled with hatred and terror. Most were hired killers; some worked directly for government. Saiku was a freelance killer as he was only a recently developed Phantom. He was still something close to human, not quite rid of his emotions but well on his way with each murder he committed. It was serious speculation that the Phantom's had come into existence BECAUSE of the Government but no one could say for sure. Basic knowledge was all anyone had managed to acquire on them because the Phantom's knew better then to make obvious their presence. But they appeared constantly in the news. "Huh...?" Saiku flipped to the first page to look at the headline and then shrugged absently. "Guess so... It's not that different then it used to be. People were killing each other long before the Phantoms appeared --- are you going to bring my coffee?" he said in a drawling voice. His eyes were droopy like he was sleepy and his tone lacked any real inflection or emotion. Kassidy startled under the red and black gaze of the unusual person she was serving and then nodded, "Oh ya! Sorry sir!" She apologized meekly before skittering away, suddenly uncomfortable in his presence. Saiku watched her depart and then snorted before turning back to the page he had been reading. Recently a Phantom hunt had started but he hardly felt threatened. It was run by the unchanged humans and they had little chance in a fight even with their guns and funding. It was still noteable enough to read though. One group of hunters wanted them dead and the other was scientists and researchers. A smirk played across his unusually pale face as he considered this. It would only be a matter of time before underground wars broke out. Saiku rested his chin in the palm of his hand bored as Kassidy returned long enough to drop off his coffee and scurry away.
